   This Solid State Relay - 48v DC is unique to us as we had them made especially for you our customers. These Solid State Relays - 48v DC are used to divert the power away from your battery bank when that battery bank is 99% full or 85% full , you decide.

Typically people divert excess power to a Braking Resistor like ours here

One thing please note the BORC 48V SSR DC to DC model wiring notification, it can only be switched on the negative side,please do not use it to switch on the positive side,otherwise you will burn out the SSR.

No returns and your warranty is voided if you switch the RED positive side

Similar to an electromechanical relay, it can switch a load on or off when an external control signal is applied across its control terminals. However, SSRs do not have any moving parts like contacts, armature, springs, etc. They make use of the electrical and optical properties of semiconductors to perform the switching and provide complete isolation between the control circuit and load circuit.
